Competition FAQs

Do you have a question about how our golf ball competitions work? Well, there’s a good chance we’ve already answered it on this page.

If you’ve read through the FAQs below and you still need to ask us something, please email competitions@gimmeballs.golf and we’ll get back to you.

How do I enter?
To enter one of our competitions, you must:
  • Answer the question correctly
  • Buy at least one ticket
Each competition’s winner is selected at random from all entrants who met the above criteria before the closing date/time.
How many tickets can I buy?
It depends on the total number of tickets available.

No entrant may purchase more than 10% of a competition’s total tickets – so if there are 750 tickets available at the start of the competition, you can buy 75 tickets maximum. If there are 900 tickets available, you can buy up to 90 tickets. You get the idea!
How are winners chosen?
A random live draw will take place after the competition’s closing date/time has passed. All tickets purchased with a correct answer will have an equal chance of winning.

All entries, along with each entrant’s name and entry number, will be entered into our competition database – the winning entry will be selected at random from this database. During the prize draw, entrant names and entry numbers may be visible on the gimmeballs website.

Once a winner has been selected and announced, this decision is final and we won’t enter into any discussion, debates or correspondence on the matter.
Will the draw take place as soon as entries are closed?
The randomised draw will take place within 2 working days of the competition’s end date (most likely on the same day).
What happens if I win a competition?
After the prize draw, we will contact the winner personally (via telephone or email) as soon as we are able to do so. If we don’t get a response, we will make 3 further attempts over the following 21 days to re-contact said winner.

If the winner hasn’t claimed the prize after 21 days, we reserve the right to offer the prize to another person who entered the same competition. In this case, another draw will take place. This process will continue until we find a winner.

The winner’s name and town of residence (example: John Smith, Sheffield) will be published on the gimmeballs website for all to see. If you don’t want us to share this information with the general public, please let us know by sending an email to competitions@gimmeballs.golf before the competition’s closing date/time.
Can I get a refund for competition tickets?
No, we don’t offer refunds for competition tickets (regardless of whether the competition is still open). All ticket purchases are final.
Can I enter on Facebook / Instagram / Twitter?
No, we do not run competitions on any third-party social media platform. You MUST enter via the gimmeballs website for your entry to count. If you see a post on any social media platform encouraging users to enter a gimmeballs competition on that platform, please report it to competitions@gimmeballs.golf as it is likely to have come from an unauthorised person impersonating our brand.
